She’s not one to miss a good opportunity to show off a stunning dress on her enviable curvaceous form.

So Kim Kardashian fans may have been surprised at her absence during last night’s Met Gala. While stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Heidi Klum and Emma Stone, lapped up the attention on the red carpet, the 31-year-old was oddly at home tweeting her way through the event.

She wrote: ‘So excited to see all the fashion going on in New York tonight at the MET!

This afternoon she even posted a blog stating her best dressed celebrities from the night. But according to a report Kardashian was banned from showing up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala by any mean because of an edict from U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Apparently the powerful editor isn’t a fan of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and made should she didn’t have a way in.

A source told RadarOnline: ‘Anna hates Kim. Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all.’ The insider continued: ‘The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can’t even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!

‘Anna Wintour would allow Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue over her dead body. As long as Anna in charge you will NOT see Kim on Vogue.’

The attractive brunette has been spending plenty of time with her pregnant sister Kourtney and has been posting on the micro-blogging website about taking part in hardcore workouts.

The source added: ‘Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn’t invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie. She would have done anything to be there with all the A-listers.’

Woah. I am not sure whether I am feeling good about this or bad for Kim, but to be fair, it is true. She really would have done anything to be there with all those A-list stars, and she really doesn’t deserve to be there. Not that I don’t like her or anything, but fair is fair. And I also think Anna Wintour just got herself a new fan.

What do you think?
